Gulf Stream

Gulf Stream is one of the most exclusive residential communities in Palm Beach County, offering a unique blend of coastal beauty, historic charm, and refined privacy. Located between Delray Beach and Ocean Ridge, the town is known for its tree-lined streets, beautifully maintained estates, and a quiet residential atmosphere. It is less than 1 square mile in size. Mainly on scenic  A1A and one community, Place Au Soleil, (I had a house there) on Federal Highway, across from Walmart.

This town has a beautiful Australian Pine canopy on A1A that has remained since 1916. The State of Florida originally planted them to address the high winds along State Road A1A. 

Many homes in Gulf Stream are located either along the Atlantic Ocean or the Intracoastal Waterway, offering breathtaking water views and access to boating. The community is intentionally small and primarily residential, which helps preserve its peaceful character and natural beauty.

Residents appreciate the lush landscaping, scenic ocean drives, and elegant architecture that define the area. Despite its private feel, Gulf Stream is just minutes from the vibrant restaurants, boutiques, and cultural attractions of Delray Beach.

With its combination of luxury properties, waterfront living, and a serene coastal environment, Gulf Stream remains one of South Florida’s most prestigious residential communities.

Though small, it was ranked the 11th-highest-income locale in the United States. To live here is a luxury.
